Key Roles and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Product Owner Manager, the key function of the Product Owner is to collaborate with clients and manage customer priorities in the development pipeline to ultimately ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
Managing customer Priorities and Development Pipeline
- Clear high-level list of future requirements.
- List is kept in priority order.
- Regular sessions with the customer to refine pipeline.
- Agreed upon release schedule with client before start date.
Meeting Facilitation
- Running workshops with the client.
- Running workshops with Architects and Tech leads.
- Ensure BA handover sessions with development team occur in line with release schedule.
Customer satisfaction
- UAT failure rate kept low.
- Ensure finished product is in line with client expectations.
Collaboration
- Regular Alignment sessions with DPM and Snr Development Management.
- Managing workflow of the Business Analysts.
- Backlog grooming with development.
Documentation
- Ensure requirements are signed off by the client before the development start
- Ensure that development tickets are ready for the development team before start
- Document high level
- Ensure that the BA’s document the requirements in a clear way for the development teams to understand according to the specification template.

- Experience with mockup tools
- Jira, Confluence (or similar)

- Experience in using Agile – Safe methodologies
- Participating in Estimation stores and creating acceptance criteria
- Create and run demo sessions
- Time tracking management
- Experience with requirements documents and requirement solicitation
Minimum Requirements
- +5 years’ experience in a Business Analyst or Product Owner role
- BA degree or qualification
- Retail related experience
- Exposure to enterprise development
- Matric
- Exposure using Agile-safe methodologies with be advantageous
- Experience with managing the development pipeline in a bespoke software environment
